Monday
afternoon, JT and his associate Jordan came over to our home. They were asked to
evaluate the garage's electrical outlets.
Our black refrigerator is still shorting out the power. Their suggestion was to
replace the one outlet on the wall where the refrigerator stands. This was done.
Unfortunately,
the next morning, the refrigerator tripped the new outlet. Tom and I now realize
that something is wrong with the refrigerator. Jerry, from Appliance Service
Today, is scheduled to come on Wednesday to fix the dryer. His company has the
new part. Maybe Jerry can check the refrigerator.
Wednesday,
there was a beautiful full moon --- the harvest moon.
I also
walked to Cataract Lake. Fall is in the air!
Appliance Service Today Jerry
arrived on at home about 11:00 a.m. He fixed our dryer.
Jerry said that there
is no way he can determine what is wrong with the refrigerator. So, it has been
declared DEAD. Nothing like spending almost $500 toward the refrigerator
project. Darn!
Thursday,
Tom and I drove to Flagstaff. We had an appointment with Dr. Figueroa at 1:00
p.m.. I had a 2:30 p.m. appointment with
the ENT doctor. I was referred to Dr. Alexander Lund by my primary care doctor,
Dr. Traci Crumrin. I have had a nagging cough for far too long. Dr. Crumrin
felt that I should see a specialist.
On Friday, Jamie had his weekly physical therapy session with Sandy at Canyon Pet Hospital. Mid morning Saturday, Tom and I drove to Ash Fork to attend a talk on the Peavine Railroad at the Ash Fork Museum. Frank Proud was the speaker. Rather than being a one hour talk, it was two hours. But, the presentation was very informative.
While in Ash
Fork, Tom and I went geocaching. We picked up one cache there on the museum
grounds.
The second
cache was located near the town cemetery.
My niece,
Lauren, posted photos of her eight month old son, Colter. What a cutie he is!
Monday, I
had two appointments in Flagstaff. The first appointment was with my
chiropractor, Dr. Moseng. The second appointment was with Mike Hippard, my
massage therapist. Tuesday, I was back in Flagstaff --- having my hair done by
Shawna Ritter.
Wednesday, I
walked to town along Cataract Lake Road.
I had lunch with the Highland Meadows ladies at DJs Wild West Junction.
In the
afternoon, I saw a posting of a free refrigerator in Highland Meadows. I
quickly responded. And, yes, we have a new used refrigerator. It is smaller
than our DEAD refrigerator. But the price was right!
Thursday, I
played pickleball with Jon, Karen, and Phil.
Afterwards, Tom, Jon, and I went
to lunch in Parks at Mustang River Grill. The food and setting was excellent!
Later, Tom and Jon put the boat in the RV barn. There is ample room to keep
the boat protected from the winter weather.
Friday
evening, Tom and I went to listen to live music at DJ's Wild West Junction. We
had a couple of drinks on the outdoor patio.
We enjoyed
the *Pure Guitar Gold* music of Ronny Lee.
On Monday,
my landscape professional, Troy Mortensen, made arrangements to haul the
refrigerator to the Flagstaff dump. The city of Williams will not accept
refrigerators. Jon and Tom took the refrigerator to the sidewalk.
Troy's two
workers put the refrigerator in their trailer. Bye-bye!
October 2
was the third wedding anniversary of my niece Katelyn and her husband Dan
Wallace. I sent them a text wishing them happy anniversary. Katelyn sent me
recent photos of their daughter Lily.
Some of the
trees in my neighborhood are turning red. October is a beautiful time of year here.

On Thursday, October 3, my Williams beautician gave birth to
her son, Mateo. Alie Rico does my manicures and pedicures. She also cuts Tom's
hair. Pictured here is Alie with her 16 year old son,
Brandon, and her husband
Eduardo.
That same day, Jamie had his physical therapy session in
Flagstaff with Sandy at Canyon Pet Hospital.
Saturday, Francesco's first cousin was married in Florence, Italy. Giulia Roca --- the first cousin --- married a man named Francesco. Beautiful bride for sure!
Monday evening, there was a very pretty sunset from my backyard.
Tuesday, I finished packing my large bag and gathering the dog food/medicines/supplements in a plastic bin. These were put into the bed of my truck.
Tuesday, I ran errands in Flagstaff. I had a hair appointment with Shawna and a massage appointment with Mike. Then, Tom and I had dinner in town at Obregon City Tacos. I had their quesabirria tacos with dipping sauce.
The margaritas were awesome, too!
That same day, Tom was notified that his son Jon, in Casa Grande, was suffering from severe dehydration. Jon likes to play pickleball a number of hours in the very hot 105+ degree weather. He drove himself to the Banner Health Emergency Room. The doctors were very concerned --- so they admitted Jon to the hospital for overnight observation. Tom phoned Jon after we came back from dinner. I listened in. Jon seemed to be in a good place. Fingers crossed, for sure!
