Thursday, December 19, 2024 through Wednesday, January 1, 2025: Enjoying the Holidays

Thursday, I had my nails done at NailIt by Sandy, the female owner of the salon. A fellow named Michael did my pedicure. That afternoon, Palm Creek had a Christmas Parade. It started on Cole Circle by the remote mail boxes. A group of us waited for the parade to arrive at the corner of Emerald Lane and Cole Circle.

On Friday morning, Tom and I went to a beginners lawn bowling class.

I later had a ninety minute massage with Cathy Kelly. What a delight!

Saturday, Palm Creek Lawn Bowling had FUN Bowling. Ross Holcomb organized the lawn in eight sections. It was setup like a miniature golf course.

There were flags to shoot for and obstacles to avoid. It was fun and I won the consolation prize. I had the lowest score ---  7. The winner had a score of 70. Ross said that it was very unusual for the loser to not have a negative number. Yeah, me! The prize was a 350 piece puzzle.

Before our Lawn Bowling session, I called a mobile grooming company, Pawfect. I scheduled a 3 p.m. appointment to have Kelsey and Jamie's nails clipped. Luigi came by our site and did an excellent job.

I purchased new beds for the dogs from Chewy.com. They arrived today. This is the first time that Jamie has a bed that is large enough for him. The beds are thick and cushioned --- easier for Jamie to lie down in.
My family members in Southern California got together for an early Christmas. My brother Peter and his wife Terry hosted the event in San Gabriel. My sister, Wendy, shared with me some photos. Nice!

Wendy has a precious granddaughter, dear Lily.
I went to church with Sue and Scott again. In the afternoon, Tom and I went to Bumbee Ball. It was Tom's first time. He did really well.
Tom's sister, Pat Warner, celebrated her 74th birthday on Monday, December 23. Pat posted a nice photo of her and her husband Frank.
Earlier in the month, Pat posted a photo of her and her grandson, Cale. Pat is a very pretty lady!
Tom and I made arrangements to have our trailer washed and waxed by David's RV Wash. They did a wonderful job last season. David and his crew are coming this Friday. Tom decided to pull out the trailer awning. Fortunately, it is in good condition.
Christmas Eve, Tom and I sat outside and enjoyed our cocktails. It was the first time that we sat outside together. My two folding chairs are very worn. I decided to buy two more at Walmart. They are coming Thursday.
It is Christmas Day, 2024. Francesco posted a photo of him and Thomas. They are on a ski vacation in the Italian Alps, the Dolomites.
My brother Peter texted a photo of the Sheltons in San Gabriel.
On Christmas Day, I went to the pond and fed the large Koi fish.
My girlfriend, Laura Dillon, drove down from Scottsdale to join us for Christmas supper. She arrived at about 4:00 p.m. Jon joined us and we went to Lin's Grand Buffet.

After our meal, we went back to our Palm Creek site and enjoyed some wine and bourbon.

Laura brought entire trays of sweets and chocolate goodies. Tom was in heaven.

My oldest Grandson, Jake, texted me a photo of the Ebbert gathering in Austin, Texas. Fun!
Christmas Eve and Christmas Day had beautiful skies.

My sister, Wendy, sent out photos of Christmas in Pasadena with the Kuwata/Wallace clan.

On Friday, David's RV Wash came to wash and wax the trailer. They are a team of five and do a great job.

My girlfriend, Barbara Coad, reached out to me. Our friend Carlos Solis died unexpectedly on Christmas Day. His wife, Denise, posted a last photo of her and Carlos. Carlos died from complications after a recent fall.
Tuesday morning, Kelsey and Jamie had appointments at Casa Grande Animal Hospital. They received their monthly Librela shots. Kelsey had her anal glands expressed.
Carrie posted some photos of snow shoeing in the national forests outside Bend.
Tom and I had Panda Express for dinner on New Years Eve. Our friend Tom Poremba shared a cute ticket.

My brother, Peter, and his wife, Terry, went to a New Years Eve wedding in downtown Los Angeles. Some of the attendees were friends from Atlanta.

Peter and Terry also celebrated the New Year at home.

On New Years Day, Tom and I watched the Rose Parade on TV. It has been a number of years since I did this.

The next morning, we enjoyed a very nice sunrise.
