On Wednesday, April 1, I joined the Highland Meadows Ladies for lunch at Cruisers 66 Cafe. It was a nice way to get integrated back into the community.
Later in the afternoon, Atomic Pest Control came to our house for the bi-monthly pest control.
On Thursday, I had an appointment in Flagstaff with my podiatrist, Dr. Anthony Rosales. I have been having problems with corns between my toes and an uncomfortable growth on the bottom of my left foot. Dr. Rosales did the trick!
Driving home, I tried to capture snow on Mt. Humphreys.
Jan Miller and her Weimaraner, Lacey, arrived at our home Thursday afternoon. She and Lacey will be our house guest most of April. Friday morning, I spied a rather large gathering of mule deer on the lot next door.
Preston was still enjoying Jan's bed --- while Lacey went out to bark at the deer. Needless to say, they left the area.
Preston finally joined Lacey in the back yard, but the deer were long gone.
Later in the afternoon, I took Jan, Lacey, and Preston to the east end of Cataract Lake. We walked along the dam.
It was a beautiful day and the lake glowed.
That evening, we saw the beginning of Jan's role as the "dog whisperer." Both Preston and Lacey shared space on the couch with Jan.
Saturday, there was more loving of dogs on the couch --- with or without Jan.
That evening, the sunset was very special. With all of the pine trees, sunsets are not as glorious as they are in Casa Grande.
On Sunday late afternoon, Tom and I went to see Marko play his music.
The venue was DJ's Wild West Junction.
Tom and I had dinner on the outside patio and we listened to Marko
This day, Sunday, was also Easter. My sister Wendy shared photos of their celebration in Pasadena.
My niece, Katelyn, has two beautiful daughters, Lily and Emi.
It was nice to see Easter day in Pasadena.
My sister, Carrie, also shared a photo of Easter Day in Cartersville, Georgia.
Tom had a follow-up appointment in Flagstaff with Audiologist Michael Skelton. He has had his hearing devices for about eight months. Some tweaks needed to be made.
After Tom's appointment, we stopped at Cold Stone Creamery for several scoops of ice cream.
That evening, I was able to photograph part of a sunset.
Wednesday morning, Colleen Hatton came to clean and service our home. Colleen is a special friend and she works exceptionally hard.
Jan and I took Lacey and Preston to town. They enjoyed posing with Betty Boop.
A neighbor shared a beautiful photo of Mt. Humphreys and the luxury of spring snow.
A couple from Ontario, Canada, were in Williams for several days. They wintered in Bullhead City and were slowly heading back to their home in Eastern Canada. Gary Preston and I met Luba and Eric Van for several hours of pickleball. Yes!
Later in the day, I took Jan, Lacey, and Preston to Kaibab Lake. The lack of snow this winter was evident.
But, Lacey and Preston thoroughly enjoyed the walk.
